Reconciliation Statement Export Enhancements
This release introduces a new export format for bank account reconciliation statements. When exporting a statement, the Export Reconciliation Statement dialog opens, where users choose how the statement workbook is rendered.
Under Sections, users select which lines to export: full statement, unmatched only, or matched only. Under Detail level, users select summary only, or summary plus detail. Full statements always include detail tables. Users can also enable Include statement first-page image and set a maximum length for line descriptions (default 100 characters).
For more information, see Download Reconciliation Statements and Free License - Download Reconciliation Statements.
Close Timeline Dashboard
Account Reconciliation adds a Close Timeline tab to the Dashboard, displaying a Gantt chart of all checklist tasks for the selected period. Tasks appear in a hierarchical tree — template, folder, and task — with each bar colour-coded by workflow status and labelled with the task duration in business days. The timeline operates on business days only, with weekends excluded, and includes a Today marker and hover tooltips showing task details.

26.2 Reconciliation Enhancements
This release delivers a set of targeted reconciliation enhancements:
-
Bank Account UI Updates
The Add (+) button on the Bank Accounts page is replaced with a Create Bank Account text button, consistent with other Administration pages.
For more information, see Managing Bank Accounts and Free License Managing Bank Accounts.
-
Exchange Rates Tab Removed
The Exchange Rates tab has been removed from the Administration tab bar. Exchange rates are imported automatically via OBDF for Enterprise accounts.
-
Nightly Refresh for Free License
The nightly scheduled refresh is now extended to Free License accounts.
For more information, see Free License Managing Integrations.
-
Bulk Line-level Commenting and Categorization
Users can select multiple reconciliation line items and apply a single comment, or update the category, across all selected lines at once. Available on both the GL side and the Support Source side of bank-type reconciliations.
For more information, see Categorize Unmatched Items.
Bank Integrations: PLAID
Account Reconciliation supports direct bank account connectivity through Plaid, a secure third-party bank data provider that supports over 12,000 financial institutions. Administrators access the Plaid integration through a dedicated tile on the Integrations page and can link bank accounts to reconciliation accounts in Account Settings.
During the Preparation stage, preparers can trigger an incremental refresh to pull the latest bank transactions. Only new transactions since the last sync are fetched, preventing duplicates. Auto-matching runs immediately after each refresh. When a reconciliation account is linked to Plaid, manual bank statement uploads are restricted.
For more information, see Bank Integrations: PLAID section in Managing Integrations.
Categorization of Unmatched Items: Category Master, Category Assignment, Risk Dashboard, and Reporting Currency
Account Reconciliation introduces the ability to categorize unmatched items and monitor risk exposure across the portfolio through a new dashboard and administration configuration.
Categories tab
Administrators configure categories from the Categories tab in Administration. Categories are defined per source type — Bank Account or Manual — and each category is assigned a risk level of High, Medium, or Low. Account Reconciliation provides a few default categories covering common reconciliation scenarios such as Duplicate Payments, Timing Differences, and Unsubstantiated Balances. Default categories can be enabled or disabled but cannot be edited. Administrators can create additional custom categories at any time using the Create New Category button.
For more information, see Managing Categories.
Assigning Categories to Unmatched Items
During the Preparation stage, preparers assign a category to each unmatched item through the Add Comment dialog on the Reconciliation Details page. The dialog includes a Comment field and a Category dropdown that lists all enabled categories for the reconciliation source type, with the risk level badge displayed alongside each category name. Category assignment is available to preparers only; all other roles can view the assignments. Category selection is not mandatory and defaults to High risk if no category is selected.
For more information, see Categorize Unmatched Items.
Unmatched Risk Dashboard
The Dashboard module includes a new Unmatched Risk tab that provides a portfolio-level view of unmatched items by risk level.
The dashboard is organised into the following sections:
KPI Cards — Four summary cards at the top: Total Open Items, High Risk Items, Medium Risk Items, and Low Risk Items. Each card displays the item count and total reporting amount for the selected period. The Approved | All toggle at the top right filters which reconciliations are included.
Unmatched Items by Entity and Source Type — Displays unmatched items grouped by legal entity and reconciliation source type (Bank Account or Manual).
Risk by Entity — Colour-coded chart showing the distribution of High (red), Medium (orange), and Low (green) risk items per legal entity.
Top 10 Risk Items — Lists the ten highest-risk items across all reconciliations for the period. Columns: Legal Entity, Account Number, Category, Risk, Reporting Amount, Risk Score, Age, Owner, and Actions. Items with no category assigned are treated as High risk by default.
Note: The risk score formula is: (Item Amount ÷ Maximum Item Amount) × Risk Multiplier × (100 ÷ Risk Multiplier) × 100. The Risk Multiplier is 1 for Low, 2 for Medium, and 3 for High.
For more information, see Unmatched Risk Dashboard.
Reporting Currency
Administrators configure the reporting currency for dashboard amounts from Administration > Settings. When a reporting currency is set, all amounts on the Unmatched Risk Dashboard and the Unmatched Aging Dashboard are converted to the selected currency using the exchange rates loaded in the system. Users can toggle between Reporting Currency and Functional Currency views directly on each dashboard.
For more information, see Reporting Currency section in Managing Settings.
V26.2 Resolved Issues
The following issues are resolved in Account Reconciliation v26.2.
Issue |
Resolution |
|---|---|
Completed reconciliations not auto-reopening on GL balance change |
Completed reconciliations now automatically reopen through all affected periods when a GL balance change is detected in a prior period. |
Reconciliation template not rendering for zero-balance GL accounts |
The reconciliation template now renders correctly for zero-balance GL accounts, allowing preparers to set the support balance and upload files as expected. |
Any user can delete GL line template files |
Deletion of GL line template files is now restricted to the preparer who uploaded the file, consistent with existing behaviour for bank statement files. |
Duplicate matches generated when files uploaded in quick succession |
Uploading the Open Unmatched Items file and the bank statement file in quick succession no longer generates duplicate matches or incorrectly increases the GL line count. |
